Our Community
Meadowlark Community Association is the new name of the Mid-Lakewood Civic Association, a volunteer neighborhood association that has served residents of south Lakewood since 1971.
Our association serves residents within the area bounded generally by 6th Avenue, Alameda Avenue, Garrison Street, and Wadsworth Boulevard. The area includes several neighborhoods and communities, each with its own identity and history. We come together through the association to build connections, support our neighbors, and make our shared community a better place to live.
We are not an HOA. We do not establish or enforce property covenants, and membership is voluntary.

The Meadowlark Community Association brings neighbors together through:
Community events and celebrations
Neighborhood improvement projects
Community safety and neighborhood watch initiatives
Communication and advocacy on issues affecting local residents
Partnerships with local schools, organizations, and institutions
Volunteer and leadership opportunities
Our events are primarily organized for residents in the area we serve, but neighbors from surrounding communities are always welcome to participate and get involved. We believe strong neighborhoods are built through connection, and we're happy to welcome anyone who wants to be part of the community.

Throughout the year, we organize opportunities for neighbors to gather, including our annual picnic, seasonal celebrations, community activities, and other neighborhood events.
Many of our events take place at Meadowlark Park, but our goal is bigger than any single park or neighborhood name: bringing people together and creating a stronger sense of community.

The association is led by a volunteer board of residents who work to represent the interests of the community and create opportunities for neighbors to connect.
The board meets monthly, with public meetings held throughout the year. Residents are welcome to attend meetings, share ideas, raise concerns, and get involved.
